Customer Reviews

A nice clock but not for a small room3
This is a nice alarm clock - I had assumed it could be run on either batteries or by mains but you need both as the mains power lights up the unit so that you can see the display and the batteries keep the time and date function correct (so not for those trying to be 'greener' like I was). The clock itself is a very nice lozenge shape and has a good large display, however, the display is exceedingly bright neon green. Not bad in the daytime but it has woken me up several nights in a row not because of the alarm but because the green neon glare reflects against the glass in pictures and mirrors and can be a bit much if you've got it plugged in close by in a small room as the green glare is quite substantial (so in once sense it is very green but not the way I wanted!) and makes the eyes ache if you glance at it half asleep in the dark. If there was a dimmer switch option I would give this clock five stars, however, as I am finding it excessively bright and moving it further and further away from me just to get some sleep I have only rated it as 3 stars.

Good functionality but badly designed2
The clock is an attractive shape but doesn't stand up well and the buttons are fiddly to get at. It is however one of the few reasonably priced clocks with both 24h and snooze which is why I chose it.
The real problem is the brightness, I just couldn't sleep at all with it on and ended up hiding it under the bed!
Really needs a dimmer function.

Too bright2
I agree with the other reviwers who say that the display on this clock is far too bright. We had to hide it under a cloth to reduce the glare and, in the end, put it in a child's bedroom to act as a nightlight!
All it needs is a dimmer.
