Acer X193HQ monitor4
I recently bought 2 of the Acer X193HQ monitors to replace my rather large and bulky 19 inch LCD monitors on my dual monitor setup. The monitor is actually 18.5 inch Widescreen. Initially I thought it looked much smaller than 18.5 inch but my previous 19 inch monitors, had speaker which made them appear much larger. The Acer monitor has no speakers so is lower on the desktop with a good steady stand and fairly lightweight and slim. There is no height adjustment on the stands only tilt. The negative aspect of this monitor is the on-screen menu adjustment buttons (more like little pimples) under the monitor on the right hand side and I found them personally difficult to find and awkward to use. If tilting the monitor then beware that one does not accidently touch the on-screen menu buttons as the tilt mechanism is fairly stiff. There is no facility to expand, vertically or horizontally, the picture with the on-screen menu, only vertical and horizontal adjustment of the whole picture but the monitors are suppose to be self adjusting on 'auto'. It would have been helpful if the advertisement for this monitor at Amazon/Acer explained what ACM + ADM was as I had to go to the Acer website to find out what at least one of them meant. ACM is contrast ratio and ADM? I still haven't found out what that means from the Acer website! (My husband said after some research that ADM could mean Automatic Display Mode as there is an 'Auto' button under the monitor grouped with the other on-screen menu buttons.) Overall it is a nice monitor for the price and the picture clarity (adjustable with on-screen menu) is very good. Excellent for general office and Video and photo work. I can recommend them. The pair of them certainly look good on my desktop as the frames are slim so when placed together my desktop almost appears as one continuous desktop. On searching Amazon I can no longer find this product on sale.

Great quality, great item5
I'm a student with a budget. So this 19" (actually 18.5") display was perfect. The price is amazing, but there's no compromise on the quality. The term widescreen certainly applies here.

It's bright, and the resolution is great. I'm using it as a primary monitor, but as part of a dual-screen set up with a MacBook. Using the Mini-DVI to VGA adapter, it connects straight away, and works seamlessly. Set up was quick, and I was soon using the monitor as normal.

A great product for the price. It's not high definition, but for the majority of computing tasks, even watching movies, it's a brilliant display.

Stunning little monitor for the money...5
Got this little gem today, was a bit worried as other folks had said wasn't up to much, well I am sorry you are wrong! After doing minor picture adjustments, Picture is superb as good a my other LG monitor which is connected with a DVI cable! Well made feels solid. If you find the letters seem blurrry just adjust the clock and phase in the menu, so easy.
Also remember the screen is 16:9 ratio not 16:10 like 'normal' PC monitors, this means dvd's films, will be the shown in the correct aspect ratio for widescreen viewing. Don't hesitate grab one at this price Thanks Amazon.
