    It should get 4 1/2 stars4
I didn't buy my laptop from Amazon as it wasn't available when I needed it but I can highly recommend this product even though I've only had it for 2 weeks. I didn't want the 5920G with the HD Drive as I knew Blue-Ray was going to win the battle so I opted for this. Below are the Pro's and Con's of this laptop (there are more Pro's than Con's!!!)

    Pro's
Large Hard Drive-I've stored all my music (huge collection) games like Half Life 2 and all of my university work and journals onto the laptop and I've still got over 140GB left!!!
WiFi-Even though its only ABG it picks up signals from far off (as in 5 houses down from mine...Quite a way)
Graphics card-yes it's not the best Nvidia card on the market but it's still a good mid-range one. I have played demanding games like Half-life 2 on it comfortably.
The display-watching movies and things like YouTube are great-it may not be HD display but it's very good. If you wanted to you can connect your Laptop to a HD telly via the HDMI port.

    Con's
Mouse tracker on laptop is very poor-if you use it occasionally its ok but if you're like me and you use your laptop a lot invest in a mouse.
Crystal eye webcam-it's only 0.3mp...if you use it occasionally its fine but if you use it a lot get another one or buy a different laptop e.g. Dell have a built in 2.0mp in some ranges.
Acer website for updates is very poor. If you want to update the laptop especially the graphics card then you'll have to find websites e.g. LaptopVideo2Go.
Lastly just a minor point, there are preloaded products on the laptop which I would never use such as Orion and Acer's Arcade Deluxe...do what I've done and uninstall them.

Overall if you want an extreme gaming laptop there are better available e.g. Dell XPS and HP Pavilion, if you want something that just does emails and word processing this laptop has too much for you. However if you're like me and want to play latest games but not all the time and/or you need everything going at once (MSN messenger, email, word document, music in background etc) then this is for you!!

Fantastic laptop - is there anything it can't do?5
The Acer Aspire 5920G is one of those products that makes you think, "how the hell did they pack all that hardware into a casing that size?".

Well, I'm not too sure myself, but they've done it. Somehow the boffins at Acer have crammed a dual core processor, shedloads of RAM and 250 gig hard drive into this thing, and then found space to throw in a HD DVD drive and dedicated graphics from nvidia.

With all this kit, the Aspire 5920G handles everything I've thrown at it with ease. Running off battery power using just Word and Internet Explorer I've had well over the three hours the description says you get from a full charge. Running off the battery power playing DVDs I can get a whole movie plus some extra. I mean, how do they do it?

That dedicated graphics card from nvidia makes gaming a breeze, and you can even play games on battery power (you can reduce CPU speed to trade framerate for battery life). I've had modern games like Half Life 2, Portal and Timeshift running smoothly. The screen is great, too, just the right size and crystal clear.

The touchpad is fine, just like most laptops,. However you may want to invest in a mouse (I chose this Microsoft one)for long periods of work and games, but that's no fault with the laptop itself, and the pad is actually very responsive and not uncomfortable to use.

For £450, you get something far superior to similarly priced laptops. I still don't know how they do it, but I can certainly recommend this bit of kit.

For £450 you have to buy this laptop5
I recently purchased this laptop of Amazon as I was looking for a new laptop. The features of the Acer Aspire 5920G are more than you will find for any other laptop currently priced at £450, from the nVidia dedicated graphics to the 250 GB hard-drive this laptop is brilliant value. I dont know how Amazon manage to sell this laptop 25% cheaper than it should be, but I do know that this is the best laptop you will find for the money
