While the last version of iPhoto expanded the envelope with new ways to import, organize, edit, and share as many as 250,000 images, iPhoto 08 is being dramatically enhanced and taken to a whole new level. iPhoto 08 has "events" - a way of navigating through the thousands of digital photos you've taken over the years; the ability to hide photos and bring them back later; a unified search feature, so you can search by date, keyword, rating; and new editing tools including the ability to copy and paste adjustments to other photos. BUY IT, YOU WONT REGRET IT
Having just upgraded to Leopard and iphoto 08, I thought I would look to improve my skills. This book IS the one that should have been in the box. The 1st part covers everything you need to know about buying and operating a digital camera. I found out about features of my Olympus camera that I didn't know existed. The book explains the basics and the more complicated features in a simple easily understood way. The 2nd and 3rd sections cover the iphoto software itself and I am working my way through the chapters learning more and more. How I wished I'd discovered this book months ago. I would recommend this series of books to everybody ( I have also purchased the Mac OS X Leopard version)
