About the Author

The late Margaret Stacey had more than 25 years' experience in the driver training industry. She is co-author of The Driving Instructor's Handbook.

John Miller is an experienced instructor trainer and a qualified LGV instructor. His qualifications include the City & Guilds Further Education Teacher’s Certificate and the ADINJC Tutor’s certificate, as well as the ADI and RTITB instructor qualifications. He is author of The LGV Learner Driver’s Guide and co-author of The Driving Instructor’s Handbook and Practical Teaching Skills for Driving Instructors, all published by Kogan Page.

Dr. John Wells is well known in the driver training profession as a specialist author ADI and PDI training materials. He works closely with the leading trade body in the industry, The Driving Instructors Association (DIA). John has provided a consultancy service for those wishing to register with ORDIT, advising on training techniques and quality, and worked extensively with the Driving Instructors Register of Ireland (DIR), writing approved training materials as Eire moves towards compulsory registration of driving tutors. He is a Grade Six ADI, member of the DIA Education Committee and driver training consultant for BUSK.
