AVOID AVOID AVOID!1
The principles in this book are very outdated and the book is not very well written. The illustrations for the drills and exercises and unclear and messy.
Buy Mark Kovacs' 'Tennis Training: Enhancing On-Court Performance'. This is the best book on the market. I'm a personal trainer and the book was recommended to me by a friend, who did his Sports Science Masters Degree on tennis movement. The book is written by a qualified sports scientist and provides everything you need to improve the fitness and wellbeing of tennis players. It is more for those with a sports science background, some of the jargon may be 'heavy' to those unfamiliar to it.
I would also recommend Roetert and Ellenbecker's 'Complete Conditioning for Tennis'. A clear and concise, well-written book. Less heavy on the jargon. The DVD provides excellent visuals such as dynamic warm up, resistance training, match endurance drills etc.

SAQ Tennis: Training and Conditioning for Tennis5
SAQ is great for learning the fundamentals of warming up and warming down and learning tennis specific drills and partner practices. It also contains a five-week pre-season programme and many weight drills to improve your strength.
This is a must buy for tennis players at all levels wanting to improve their game; an excellent book.

Essential resource for players and coaches alike5
Easy to follow and clearly illustrated this book does what it says on the tin, train and condition for tennis. Packed with advice that professionals pay a stack for it's suitable for all ages and abilities. It features warming up, running form and recovery as well as tennis-specific drills like movement pattern training, shot specific drills and partner practices. It's pretty much as good as you can get.
