Review
'As a first time visitor to the Azores, Brian found the Bradt Travel Guide to the islands a great companion, whether exploring Sao Miguel's coastline, volcanic interior or elegant old towns by car or on foot. Illuminating text and excellent town and walks maps. Author David Sayers, a botanical horticulturalist, has produced an informative, practical and user-friendly volume.' --EDP Saturday Magazine

more than adequate.
As a Rough Guide fan I found this book to have plenty of pictures! It is also very good quality, and its content is more than adequate. Certainly the best guide to the Azores that I could find, although perhaps that isn't saying very much. Pretty much my last six trips have been to places where Bradt guides were the best or only option. Only Namibia had much alternative reasonable choice. And this guide, like the others, is well researched, readable, and pretty accurate. Therefore I recommend the book as well as the publisher/series.
Mostly great but could be a bit better
Like I have reviewed in other Bradt guides, I wish they would offer a few more pictures and definitely pics of each islands beauty. Also, the maps could be a bit larger and maybe in color. Of the choices available.....very few, this is the best choice, so far.
