making history enjoyable
Bancrofts book is laid out in such a way that it is easy to follow the events that triggered the zulu war leading up to this epic battle. His prudent use of diagrams allows you to picture events as they unfolded and will keep you gripped.
As a bonus he has also included a section on what happened to the people involved who were involved thus giving the reader the ability to not only picture the battle but understand how it affected those involved. A truly masterful read.
