Much better than the alternatives
I've used Norton, McAfee, and AVG antivirus, and there is a really important feature that distinguishes AVG from the other two: it actually works. With both Norton and McAfee, I had endless problems with definitions not updating when they should, strange error messages, scheduled scans not running, etc etc. AVG just works, straight out of the box. Need I say more?

Excellent
I've been using this software for 3 years now, originally using version 6. Quite simply it does what antivirus software should do and is very efficient in terms of system resources. The same cannot be said for the bigger brand names in the antivius market. The cost includes a 2 year license and updates are downloaded on connecting to the web, often several a day.

Ive used Norton for five years and have to say this is far better software, does not hog system resources like Norton and is a joy to use and had several trojans that norton completly missed
