Customer Reviews
prog folk masterpiece
Ghost have been kicking around for well over a decade now.The band are a loos(ish)collective based around Masaki Batoh.Their music is a mixture of delicate folk strumming and long hypnotic full band passages.
This, their 7th album,is probably their best.Save for the first song, the playing is tighter, the production crisper and the 'songs' more memorable.
Again,it's one of those discs you have to listen to as a whole, but if you can skip the first track,or at least shuffle it around to the middle or end of the album.
Fans of Devendra Banhart,Damon and Naomi(with whom they've recorded),Six Organs of Admittance and the Animal Collective should buy and enjoy this album by a 'magical'band at the height of their powers.
