Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
Barbra Streisand's fourth and best television special, A Happening in Central Park (September 15, 1968) is refreshingly free of gimmicks and concepts. It's just Streisand with an orchestra in front of a live New York audience. "The Nearness of You," "Cry Me a River," "I Can See It," "Second Hand Rose" (the audience enjoys singing along)," "People," and "Happy Days Are Here Again." --David Horiuchi

Synopsis
Barbra performs over 18 songs in this landmark farewell-to-New York concert filmed in 1967 in Central Park. Featured songs include 'Silent Night', 'Cry Me a River' and 'Second Hand Rose'.

Customer Reviews

Streisand live is Streisand at her best!5
Live in Central Park, 1968 in front of 135,000 people at the age of 25 - remarkable. What is so electrifying is that the concert sounds like a nightclub act - which is a positive thing considering the intimacy and warmth in Streisand's voice. Also worth noting are the songs that don't appear as studio versions on other Streisand albums. This is the ultimate live recording - very recommended.
