Product Description

Every year in the UK we spend a fortune on plants for our gardens. So looking after them has to be a good idea. This book shows the gardener how to make sure that the shiny perfect plant they brought home from the garden centre stays that way in their own garden. The fact is that healthy plants resist pests and disease and harsh conditions, so treating them correctly is a major issue. Here we cover the fundamental conditions needed for plant health including soil, position, climate conditions and maintenance. Healthy Plants also covers issues of feeding, transplanting, pruning, potting and protecting from pests and diseases. All without using chemicals. Healthy Plants is endorsed by the HDRA and the Soil Association, so you know you can trust all the organic advice.

Customer Reviews

A really useful little guide!5
This is a really good resource for all those that want to find out ways of encouraging thier garden to flourish.

It tells you about the different types of soils, how to improve them and what plants are best to grow in them and it also tells you how to maintain your soil.

It also has whole sections on how to make sure that your plants are getting just enough water and sunshine.

I thought I was past reading anything that I didn't already know in a gardening book but this little organic guide has proven me wrong.
