Customer Reviews

Disappointed2
Having recently upgraded to a new PC with Vista installed I was keen to link up my old Midi keyboard again. The box says the product is Vista compatible so I thought I shouldn't have any issues.

On attaching the leads and opening my midi software I couldn't figure out why no sound was coming out but soon realised that the MIDI IN lead needs to be connected to the MIDI OUT port on the keyboard - surely this is the wrong way round, but there you go. With the leads now the right way I was relieved to hear some sound coming out of the speakers, but unfortunately there's a very noticeable delay between me pressing the key and hearing the note.

Having looked at the internet, I see that this latency issue is well known
and could see many people recommending other ways to link up to a MIDI device. I'm sure I'll find some way to get around it, but if you have Vista and you're looking for a product that will work straight out of the box, this perhaps isn't for you.

Nicely packaged rubbish1
I plugged it into my XP machine - it worked straight away. 'Good start' I thought. However, I quickly realised that there is a terrible latency problem (delay between pressing a key and hearing the note) which makes playing almost impossible). I assumed that the latency was caused by my sound card so I plugged another USB keyboard into my PC and there was no latency. Then, a few days later I plugged the cable into my PC and Windows says 'Unrecognised device'. So the unit has gone from performing badly to not performing at all. All in all a complete waste of £15.99. Amazon - you should stop selling rubbish like this - it does no favours for your reputation.

Legend5
I bought this in desperation as i needed to connect my keyboard to my Sibelius software on my PC. I plugged it in and within seconds heard the sound i love, when windows recognises a USB. I opened the programme and the keyboard was working fine with the programme. Awesome
