Not good value for money.
i bought this kit for my niece thinking that it would be interesting to share with her over the coming year. i was horrified when i looked inside to find a plastic container with a lid, small net and plastic spoon with small plastic magnifier.even the information book was a leaflet type rather than a book. This certainly doesn't represent value for money, you could put it together from your kitchen!! i am extremely disappointed as this type of toy should be of the highest quality to provide years of use. i am surprised that Nick Baker has put his name to it.
basic pond and rock pool kit
Although the contents of this kit are simple they meet the requirements needed to explore and have fun in a garden or even a larger lake. However it is true that the equipment could be put together in the kitchen and the guidebook is basically a small leaflet, I personally wouldn't recommend this kit for an older child as I don't feel that it would meet their expectations, but for a young child under 10 I'm sure that this would make a welcome gift.
