Customer Reviews

docking station5
excellent product bought as present. Sound is great but the mood light not quite as effective as originally thought but thats only a minor detail, everything else is incredibly good. After looking at lots of other reviews and products I am happy that i'd decide on this one.

Great little speaker system5
I actually bought this from somewhere else but I thought I'd still write a review 'cos it's raining and there isn't much to do. I'll start off with the only niggle I have with it, and that is that the ipod dock (which pops out when pushed as it's spring loaded) is a bit wobbly. However I plan on keeping the dock out, not continuously popping it in and out so this won't annoy me. The touch controls are very nice to use and they're not hard to use at all, you just have to look where you're pressing.

The remote is very light and neat, a shame the buttons don't light up but that's asking too much for the price. There is a seperate wireless snooze button which is handy if you don't have the unit by your bedside as it allows you to snooze or turn off the alarm with ease. You can do this on the remote but that's gonna be fiddly on a dark morning when you're still half asleep.

The sound quality is very very good from the ipod and again it's a shame the radio isn't digital but the fm antenna is easily long enough to get a good signal.

The best bit - the backlight. This is a mood light which projects a glow onto the wall behind the main unit. There are about 15 different colours you can have, and it is very bright (you can adjust the brightness from 1 to 17) when you want it to be - very nice touch.

All in all a very nice system which I only payed £50 as it was ex-display, but even for £70 I would recommend this easily!

Its no BOSE but it is close4
I tested a lot of these gizmos before settling on this one. It simply had a much broader/deeper/clearer sound than any I tested apart from the BOSE system (£200).
- The controls are sensitive enough but you need to hit the right spot.
- The mood light is cool for dropping off at night in conjunction with the Snooze facility (which actually wishes you Goodnight - nice!)
- The sound is clear and full of Bass, however it lacked Treble badly. This is not a problem with the iPhone as I can set it to Treble Boost but it is noticable when listening to the radio.
- The dock is slightly loose as someone else stated.
- The alarm went off for the first time this morning and I could not get it to turn off. Snooze worked but had to refer to manual to find out how to turn off the alarm for the day. (Hold the alarm button for a few seconds BTW).
- How am I supposed to go through the presets if I loose the remote????
- Why does the radio tuner only go in 0.2 increments? What about the station at 96.7?

Overall, this is the best sound you can buy for the price. The complaints I have are easy to live with as I am sure I will get used to using it shortly.
