Marvellous!
Marcelo Alvarez' new CD is just marvellous! You could hear on his first two albums (Bel Canto and French arias) that he has an extraordinary beautiful voice and very fine technique, but his voice has grown since his first albums WITHOUT losing it's beauty and it's shining. His high notes are bombproof as they were from his beginnings (A te o cara! Vincero!...), there is so much strength in his voice, there seems to be nothing which is too difficult for him. The Lamento of Federico is like predestined for his voice and his interpretation is on a level which can be hardly outbid. What a tenor! Great! Only to recommend for every operafan, this CD makes only pleasure!
