Product Description

Ruby O'Neill leads a charmed life in a perfect house on an elegant street, married to gorgeous Jonathan who adores her. It is a snowy Christmas Eve and life has even more glitter and sparkle than usual. Ruby blissfully decorates their Christmas tree, dreaming of a wonderfully romantic holiday season when she and Jonathan will enjoy lovely lie-ins and start the baby she longs for. Then a telephone call shatters her fairytale existence forever. In the New Year Ruby picks herself up and finds comfort in sewing seven exquisite little velvet bags which seem touched by magic. Through them her life is touched by the lives of others and she learns six secrets which begin to thaw her frozen heart. And little does she know she has a guardian angel watching over her. Though wounded himself, he holds in his hands the seventh secret and Ruby's chance of having love blossom again in her life. Another heart-warming tale of love and friendship from bestselling author Sharon Owens.

I Had to be the First to Say - Well Done Sharon! Brilliant!!!!5
I might well be Sharon Owens' number 1 fan, but even I am amazed at just how beautiful, brilliant, believable and stunning this book is! I have read all of her other books (at least twice!) and was looking forward to this new one so much as Sharon is not one of those authors who churns out stereotypical and 'samey' books every couple of months. This story will strike a chord with anyone who has ever loved and lost (for whatever reason) and describes how much courage and strength it takes to rebuild a life when someone we love is taken from us. But don't be fooled into thinking that the plot and storyline is predictable and straightforward - far from it - and all the characters are so likeable and well drawn that I would love to meet them (and would definitely LOVE to browse round Ruby's shop and emerge a few quid lighter but with one of her gorgeous trinkets wrapped up in her divine carrier bags!). I have to be honest, I haven't yet finished the Seven Secrets of Happiness - not because it is hard going or I'm wading through it reluctantly. It is simply that I want to savour Sharon's wonderful style of writing, her beautiful choice of words and the gorgeous images she brings to life in my mind's eye as I read. Part of me cannot wait to see what will happen to Ruby and Tom, Jasmine and Ruby's estranged parents, but another part of me will be so, so sorry to finish what has honestly been one of the best and most beautiful books I have ever read. And if there is an Eighth Secret of Happiness it is quite simply the joy I get from reading Sharon Owens' fabulous books and losing myself in the magic she creates for her readers.

Another excellent novel from Sharon Owens!5
I must agree with the previous reviewer, the only thing that is wrong with a Sharon Owens book is that it ends! With every novel you get to know the personable characters and their stories come to life. The characters are real as are their stories and you follow them through the book like they were a good friend. There is no cliche writing to be found, Sharon's writing is clever, honest and whitty and doesn't have to rely on them. The Seven Secrets of Happiness is again another page turner, therefore make sure you have a pot of tea ready when you sit down with this novel. This book will definately be given for Christmas presents this year as the others have in previous years.

Enchanting5
I love all of Sharon Owen's books, but this one was really special. I love stories that have a little element of something magical without overdoing it. I have to admit, this book made me cry abit, but the characters were fantastic and i appreciate that it ends well. The storyline is lovely as well. Read this!!!
