Average customer review:Product Description
For this incredible illustrated book, 1001 of football's greatest moments have been expertly selected and are beautifully retold by one of the world's foremost experts. All of the great goals, games, players and famous moments are here, such as Carlos Alberto's 'Perfect Goal' in 1970, Maradona's 'Hand of God' and the 'Cruyff Turn', but this unique book goes much further and explores the many surprising and lesser-known events that have equally shaped and contributed to football's rich story. Uniquely devised to allow the reader to follow narrative topics within the 1001 entries, "Football Moments" is a thematic journey through football's great goals, incidents, development, personalities, politics and tactics, and is the most complete book on football ever published and the ultimate celebration of the global game.

Customer Reviews
What a incredible history of football
This book will take me an age to read but I will enjoy every minute or hour of it. 1001 Football Moments, each one with a photograph and a jolly accompanying text. It is a very impressive book, the chunkiest, accessible book on football i have ever seen. Can't believe Amazon can sell it so cheap!
Digital Photography Manual
This was purchased as a gift. It is a well written easy to follow book with good illustrations and tips for getting the best out of photography.
Easy to read history
This is not a random 1001 moments or events but more a chronological series of milestones from 1863 (The FA is formed) to 2007 (Galacticos leave on a high) and even a mention for 2010 and the First World Cup on African soil; making it more of 'a history of...'.
Each 'moment' gets a brief paragraph with some of the more significant events around a world cup for example getting a page; enough to get either an introduction to the event or a reminder of it's significance.
Another absorbing book demonstrating the ubiquitious nature and global penetration of the worlds only truly international and most popular sport.
