Decent - But keep the warrenty!2
I bought this in February. Was proper pleased with it. The size, build quality, sound (once you turned the setting up), ease of use were all fantastic. I used my choice of media player, Winamp, to update the player. It was a breeze. I'd put some new Pitchfork recommended indie on it in the evening and rock (see gently sway) it on the bus to and from work. Sometime's I'd even sneak a listen in work if the boss was away!!

Anyway the battery life was great. No problem at all. I owned a nano for 3 years and this was just as good - a little more hassle to navigate but definitely not £70 worth of hassle!

But alas, dear Amazon reader, yesterday my Sandisk Sansa Clip broke. It just won't turn on. My PC recognises it but the damn thing just won't work. Check the Sansdisk forums - it seems it's a common problem. The only solution is to return it. And there was silly me throwing the box away.

Drag and drop this is not!4
this is a good piece of kit, tiny, loud and (now that I have worked it out) enables music to be played by album or artist. Battery life is good and if you dont want to sort your music, its easy peasy. However, if you want to store your music in anything other one big file, you will need to know how to use windows media player. Havent used WMP to create playlists before and eventually worked it out by fiddling. Drag and drop this is not!

    Sandisk Sansa Clip 2Gb5
This device is simple. If you want an all-singing [pun intended], all dancing device, then this is not for you.

On the other hand, if you want something that plays music, and is easy to use, then this is wonderful!!

I have just joined the gym, and my phone was too bulky as an MP3. I was looking at either the Apple or Creative equiv. I knew I wanted a display, which ruled out the Shuffle. And reviews for the Sansa Clip were pretty excellent across the board.

    Pros:
    It's tiny
It's simple to use - the Menu button is very useful
    The sound is great
    The screen is clear
The fact that it treats audio books differently to play lists

    Cons:
The earphones aren't the best, but they're OK.
