Can't review this really as I've never owned a large LCD tv before to compare it to, BUT...

I have a sky+HD box connected to this tv via both HDMI and scart sockets. I found that resolution+ wasn't working (& also greyed out in the menus)while watching SD (standard) content via the HDMI connection, so had to switch to scart to watch SD content (& back to HDMI to watch HDTV which was a pain.

All I can say is resolution+ must work pretty well as the picture was sharp via scart yet noticeably more blurry when switched off via the HDMI input.

Now the reason I posted this...the reason I couldn't get resolution+ to work via HDMI cable was because my sky box had the picture resolution set to 1080. (the tv turns off res+ when it detects HD resolutions). I set the sky's resolution to auto & now I have res+ working properly via HDMI when not watching HD channels..So no more switching inputs! If you buy this tv...keep this in mind & check you HD box settings!

Amazing5
When you see the television in a shop, connected to the same digital feed as the other 20,30 or 100 televisions you are never too sure that it will look like that in your living room. I have over 300 DVD's and I do not see Sony making any offers to swap them over to blue-ray for me. The upscaling of both DVD and non-HD satellite pictures is truly amazing. I will possibly spend the next few weeks playing with all the settings and options, but out of the box, connected with 2-scart cables and one HDMI the initial impression is that this hits the spot.

Not All It Is Cracked Up To Be...3
Ok - Time to be honest. I did not buy this TV from Amazon! I found it cheaper somewhere else so I suppose Amazon won't print all of this review.

It is easiest to review this TV using GOOD & BAD points, so here goes.

GOOD POINTS - Nice looking TV - Slim & Light and easily wall mounted if you need. Good quality pictures when watching a DVD - That's it - other than this, the Toshiba TV has no redeeming qualites. Read on...

BAD POINTS - Picture quality is poor to say the least, which surprises me from Toshiba. It is grainy, blurred and often has a 'stutter' in the picture when watching Analogue and certain channels via Sky. Almost as though the picture is playing catch up with the broadcast signal. The TV also has a very low 'buzz' when watching and nothing is happening on screen - this can be very annoying if using teletext or Sky 'What's on listing'. To be honest I expected more from Toshiba given their claims to be 'one of the best'. This TV is far from being one of the best. In fact, the total overall performance is lower than my old 32" Acoustic Solutions (non HD TV) which I bought from Argos three or so years ago.

So, if you want a TV that looks good and does little else - then by all means pay out for it - but don't say you weren't warned. Mine is going back to the shop and I can see a Samsung HD TV coming my way.

Very poor showing by Toshiba
