Product Description

This new, official book for 2008 is specifically designed to help bus and coach drivers prepare for their initial Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) which comes into force on 10 September 2008. This new title focuses on the syllabus of the two new modules: Case Studies and the Practical Demonstration Test. It explains why the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence has been introduced and the process of gaining Driver CPC. It provides detailed information about the new Case Studies module including two official examples as well as essential guidance on the subject areas that will be tested in the case studies. It also describes what drivers will be tested on in the new Practical Demonstration Test and how they will be tested. This new title for 2008 has been written by experienced PCV trainers from GoSkills, First Group, Arriva and East London Bus Group, so it is up-to-date with current industry thinking.

Editorial Reviews

Review
Attractively presented in strong, positive colours highlighted by the many illustrations, section titles and clear, concise texts, it is a mine of essential, instantly assimilable information... At £9.99, this guide is an invaluable source of information and revision - and, indeed, a potential life saver for coach drivers and their passengers, who face daily the hazards infesting today's often ill-maintained and overcrowded highways. --Review in The ROSPA Occupational Safety & Health Journal (December 2008)

Customer Reviews

Very Basic Book1
This is an extremely basic and slim introduction to the new driver CPC. It represents poor value for money. The official DSA Guide for bus and coach drivers may prove a better bet. This particular book will not expand your knowledge and with only a dozen sample questions will not really help you pass.

virtually useless1
This book gave almost NO help in learning for the test. I gained more insight and knowledge staring at a cat on my shed. I do not know what alternatives wouold be best as i am currently still looking.

Alright with it4
Good condition and cheap . Well recommended if you are to get your bus driver lifence
