Customer Reviews
Not just for Spanish gardens
I found this book to be very useful in dealing with the problems of gardening in a hot and dry climate. It is very well put together, with separate chapters covering the basic ideals of gardening, tips for absentee-owners, gardens by the sea, gardening for the disabled, among others. It describes the plants that will thrive in the Mediterranean climate, and how to deal with them on a day-to-day basis. All in all, a very practical book packed with advice, not glossy photos.
a must of a book if you live in Spain
To any ex-pat living in Spain this book is a must for those of you having a garden.
It gives you great ideas for those gardens that have 52 weeks sun, or those gardens like ours that has a micro climate of sun on one side and constant shade on the other.
The ideal present.
Gardening in Spain
As my wife and I have recently bought an apartment in Spain I wanted some advanced knowledge of how, what and when with regard to gardening albeit only of the patio/veranda variety. This book has been very useful in this respect with only one drawback i.e. very limited information on palm trees and the care of them.
