Why is this on sale in the UK?
As this is a directory available to the UK, you would think the guide would cover a least some UK galleries, websites etc..
Alas not, the directory covers only US and Canada, which makes it baffling why this is available here in the UK identical to the US edition. A good quality book for sure, but I'm not planning on emmigrating to make use of it.
Are you serious about your craft?
Artist's & Graphics Designer's Market 2000 is amazingly serious. As the art editor of a magazine, I constantly encourage illustrators to take advantage of this resource. The highlights of its contents include: Websites for Artists, a Special Markets Index, the current needs of Book and Magazine Publishers, as well as realistic advice and numerous samples of published artwork. Artist's & Graphics Designer's Market is a worthwhile tutorial for the inspired and the creative to get serious. With so much competition, you have to be serious.

As this is a directory available to the UK, you would think the guide would cover a least some UK galleries, websites etc..
I was dismayed when I recived this book to find nothing for the UK market place!!! A bit silly as it was sold to me here and did not say ( at least not that I saw ) that it was for the US market place.
BUT If you find a UK version I would imagin it would be great
