Animation Station - Great fun
This is a brilliant toy for anyone interested in animation, and how you create films like Wallace & Gromit. It's very easy to set up and plugs straight into your tv, so you're up and running before you know it. You make a film by taking photos of your plastecine creation, moving the figure slightly for each frame. You can preview your work as you do it, delete or add frames as you like. If you slot in a memory card you can make a much longer film. My Grandaughter (who is 8) made a film within minutes of setting up, and quickly realised how versatile the system is. You can save the films on computer and email them.
I have only given this toy 4 stars out of 5 because of two reasons:
The toy eats batteries, it takes 3 AA but they don't last long. I am buying a 5v adaptor so we don't have to rely on batteries at all.
The animation program on disc is very basic, and not really good enough for the toy. I downloaded a free movie maker program and this worked brilliantly.
I would have given this toy 5 stars, but for these 2 glitches, but considering the bargain price - this is one very satisfied animator.
