A good all-rounder5
This film was so funny you just cant help but laugh, while at the same time there's some really sad parts. The story-line it'self is really cheesy and very predictable, but there's some good acting and it still gets the point across - we thoroughly enjoyed this movie and could happily watch it again - who knows, might even buy it. you could do far worse. i'd say this is probably on a par with Shallow Hal in terms of cast, humour, moral issues, acting and over-all story line so if you like that sort of movie, you'll love this one

An Enjoyable Film3
Now I'm not usually a chick flick kind of person, and I generally don't go for anything starring Eva Longoria. This movie was just on TV today whilst I was working and it really captured my attention and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a very light hearted comedy that does use a very cliché style in terms of the dramatic segments, but the comic moments were taken to a whole new level of movie hysterics. Jason Biggs, although I'm not a massive fan, really had a brilliant presence within the film and made it very watchable indeed. Although there's quite a bit to complain about, there's also just as much to praise about this film.

The story of the film focuses around a 3 way relationship. Kate (Eva Longoria) and Henry (Paul Rudd) are getting married, but tragedy befalls the wedding as Kate is killed by a falling ice sculpture. 1 year later, Henry is struggling to move on with his life and is scared to enter into a new relationship. He is convinced by his sister to consult a psychic who may be able to convince him that Kate wants him to move on with his life. The psychic, Ashley (Lake Bell) gets into a relationship with Henry but all is not well as the ghost of Kate is not ready to let him move on and insists on trying to scare Ashley away.

Looking at the story you may not think that this movie has a lot going for it, and certainly if you pay attention to a lot of the bad press this film has received then you're likely going to stay away and I don't think I could blame you. This isn't for everyone and although I enjoyed it, I would be ready to admit that there is a certain level of mediocrity that does drag this film down and Eva Longoria isn't exactly the most charismatic actress in the world. The cheap little laughs are really what this has going for it as there would be numerous gags that for an unexpected reason gave me a wealthy chuckle.

Paul Rudd is one of my favourite actors and I would certainly go out of my way to watch a movie starring him. The films may not be of the best calibre, but they certainly offer an enjoyable time sitting down and just letting your mouth do the laughing without any thinking. Jason Biggs, again, although not the greatest actor in the world has a knack for making people laugh and I think could be a part of any comedy movie thanks to his time with the American Pie series. Eva Longoria is certainly forgettable and I have no idea who Lake Bell is so I shouldn't really try and comment on her work as there's nothing in my mind I can compare it to.

Overall it's a light hearted and enjoyable film that wasn't really made for the appreciators of the more intelligent cinema, but it's fun for those who just enjoy a calm night in watching a movie.

Worst movie ever????1
I've seen some bad movies in my time (Pluto Nash, battlefield earth) but this certainly topped them all. It tries so hard to be funny, and its obvious whoever made this film really put lots of effort into making it a barrel of laughs. unfortunatly, they simply arn't up for the job.

Awful. Just....awful.
