Product Description

Light Yagami is an ace student with great prospects - and he's bored out of his mind. But all that changes when he finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god. Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and now Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note to rid the world of evil. But when criminals begin dropping dead, the authorities send the legendary detective L to track down the killer. With L hot on his heels, will Light lose sight of his noble goal...or his life? Light tests the boundaries of the Death Note's powers as L and the police begin to close in. Luckily Light's father is the head of the Japanese National Police Agency and leaves vital information about the case lying around the house. With access to his father's files, Light can keep one step ahead of the authorities. But who is the strange man following him, and how can Light guard against enemies whose names he doesn't know?

Possibly the greatest Manga EVER created5
I have read a lot of Manga novels and nothing even comes close to Death Note. Complex characters, in-depth story line, no end of clever little tricks to boggle your mind. Brilliantly written, beautifully illustrated. And not only that, the books just keep getting better and better as you go along. And of course the whole thing comes in a beautiful box set that opens into a presentation case of sorts, all covered in artwork from the series. Highly recomended to all those who love manga, graphic novels, crime thrillers, horrors... just recomended to EVERYONE!

Pure Genius5
This is quite possibly the best Manga series ever created.
All the volumes will have you hooked - and if you're anything like me, you'll end up going through 1 volume (or more!) per day.

Without revealing too much of the plot - it can be best described as an action crime thriller. It has death gods, cops, a small handful of geniuses attempting to work out riddles which keep you on your feet, and many more interesting characters.

It also (quite wittingly) gives you an internal psychological battle, where you try to figure out whether you're with the 'goodies' or the 'baddies', as either side could be good or evil depending on your perspective.

If you're not a huge fan of manga/comics or you're not sure about the series, buy volume 1 first and see how it goes. But if you're a huge manga fan, you may as well buy the entire box set right now!

DEATH NOTE = THE BEST!5
Hiya!
Ok I started buying manga a few years ago and I actually had volumes 2, 4 and 6. But because I was a poor student I decided "I won't buy anymore" and here we are me buying the full set! ¬¬". Typical manga fan! If i bought the volumes one by one it would be more expensive (Done my maths) So i decided, what the heck...Add the full collection to the basket and check out!

Very sleek condistion, comes with the box too and it's the best manga out there for those who love horror and mystery and supernatural events then this is definatelly something to purchase! It was quite heavy in my opinion and I had no idea where to put it (My cupboards are already full of manga...I need to get me a nice fat shelf!) So I kept the amazon cardboard box and kept it under my bed until I can find a shelf ¬¬". The story is very decent, keeps you wanting more, each volumes has alot of suspence to make you read deeply into the story...
