Product Description

Third edition of the best selling introduction to dealing safely and ecologically with the sewage of up to 50 people.

Sewage Solutions is the guide for anyone interested in dealing with the complete process of DIY sewage recycling. One of the most common mistakes in dealing with sewage is to think of it only as waste. Sewage is a vital part of the planet's life-cycle that provides essential nutrients for soil and plants. As an alternative to polluting water courses, there are a number of ways to recycle sewage for such vital uses. This book examines natural methods of treatment, including reed beds, cess pits, water stabilisation ponds, septic tanks and compost toilets, as well as describing how to collect and recycle waste water.

Beyond the U bend5
As an architect curious about the inner workings of what lies beyond the U bend I found that this book has it all. I can recommend this book to anyone with an interest in water conservation and water management.

an excellent summary of current thinking in sewage matters5
The book on sewage I had been searching high and low for - how these authors have managed to condense so much wisdom in so few pages is staggering. I especially enjoyed Chris Weedon's illuminating essay on boli.
