First published fifteen years ago, shortly after his death, inside this collection are some of the finest short stories of science fiction writing from one of the genre's greatest writers, Isaac Asimov. Isaac Asimov was the Grand Master of the Science Fiction Writers of America, the founder of robot ethics, and one of the world's most prolific authors of fiction and non-fiction. The Good Doctor's short fiction has been enjoyed by millions for more than half a century. Now the definitive Asimov collection is underway with Volume One of The Complete Stories. Many of these stories are classics of the genre, and the last, 'The Last Question', the absolute personal favourite of Asimov himself. Always entertaining and thought provoking, these stories display Asimov's mastery of the short story form. He remains supreme as the thinking person's science fiction writer.

Customer Reviews
A strong collection of short stories from Isaac Asimov
This is a collection of stories which demonstrates the full range of Isaac Asimov's ability from adventure to romance and from suspense to humour. There is something here for everyone including the excellent "Nightfall" which still stands today as a gem of modern science fiction. In my opinion this collection is not quite as strong as the first volume but is equally deserving of a read.
An excellent collection from the greatest Sci-Fi author ever
This collection of stories firmly establishes Isaac Asimov as the greatest science fiction writer ever. He skillfully writes about a broad variety of themes with imagination, realism and characters that you can almost touch. This book also contains "The Last Question" which I feel is almost certainly his most profound story ever and just has to be read.
Awsome collection of scifi stories
When it comes to scifi, Asimov is the master.
Every story is well thought out and original, many of them have little morals; probably all of them will make you think.
And of course "The Last Question" is really beautiful.
I think Asimov with his short stories caters for the more scientifically inclined, more the thinking mans writer, but even still a layman with no interest in science would still be able to grasp the subject matter through good story telling.
