Customer Reviews

Possibly the BEST student cookbook available5
This book is an absolute MUST for all students either at uni or going off this year. As an extremely fussy eater and slightly disasterous cook, I expected to find it full of boring, uninteresting recipes, WRONG!
The book covers an extensive range of recipes from the delicious (hot mars bar soup! muffin mini pizzas) to the essential (Shepherds pie, pasta bolognese, chicken tikka). The recipes are clear and easy to follow, each one includes details of preparation times, serving times, who it is suitable for (vegans, gluten-free etc) and most of the recipes include details of how long certain foods (snacks etc) will keep for and how to store them. The first 60 pages include how to master the cooking methods used in the book, what essential items you need to kit out your kitchen, and how to maintain a balanced diet on a budget. This book really does contain EVERYTHING, it even has an extensive section on cocktails to impress your new flatmates with!
This book may not be the cheapest available out of all the student cookbooks but its 240 pages are a superb guide for any student going off to uni.
