Ground Control 2: Operation Exodus takes place during the year 2741 AD, roughly 300 years after the events in the original game, and has a strong focus on tactical battles and action-packed combat. The democratic and freedom caring Northern Star Alliance (NSA) is being hard pressed by the warmongering Terran Empire. The war has recently entered a new stage; a brutal and deadly ground war, as the Empire has managed to land their first troopships on the last NSA controlled planet, Morningstar Prime. Captain Jacob Angelus, a battle-hardened officer in the NSA armed forces, finds himself becoming the central figure in the war against the Terran Empire. The situation is desperate, but for the NSA destiny is at hand; its only hope lies in an ancient legend.

Best RTS Game ever !
So why do I think that this Game rocks ?

So lets get started :

The Graphics :
have been the very best , when it came out . Even today , when i play this game on my really new and strong XPS Computer i am impressed by the level of Detail , the big environments , the ability to zoom so close that you can see every Detail on the Soldiers .
Cars , Signs everything you would expect from a City at War ; you can look into the destroyed buildings and see your Soldiers there .
Everything can be seen in the Water : Sky , Troops , Grass everything !
The level of Detail is amazing !

The Sound : Crystal Clear and superb effects make you feel as if you are
right in the middle of the Battlefield !

Gameplay : Challenging and much more interesting than the most 08/15 RTS
You do not build or construct ! You do not even collect
resources ! You have a kind of Budget , which you get over
time , and when you kill enemys .
Your Income gets slower , as you have more Troops on the
Battlefield ! So no chance to Massproduce and Overrun the
Enemy !
With this Income you buy your Troops ... BUT :
You need at least one Insertion-Point where your Troopcarrier can land !
If you loose all of these and cant free one before you run out of Troops :
Game Over ! But Troops are not the only thing that you can use your income on; You can also Upgrade your Carrier in many ways :
More Room for Troops , more Speed , better Armor or Weapons ( Yes , it is not invincible and you can use it for Recon or even Attacking , as long as the Fuel or the Armor lasts ! )

You can play 2 completly different Races :
Humans and Virons !
Especially the Virons are very interesting because their Troops can merge to form different and stronger Units !
The Humans have the more RTS typical approach , but are still very interesting !

Conclusion : If you are a RTS Fan you just HAVE to Get this GEM !
Even if you are only slightly interested in RTS Games :
Get It ! Give it a Try ! I promise , you wont regret it !
