Splendid selection of stories and poems4
Although originally published in 1925, this excellent book is still the best place to read medieval fabulae as well as selections from Carmina Burana, and liturgical sequences and hymns (Dies irae etc.)

Beeson provides a short introduction that lists the essential differences between Medieval and Classical Latin syntax. Each selection has sparse notes and there is a vocab of new coinage words at the end. Keith Sidwell's more modern "Reading Medieval Latin" has far more detailed notes to aid translation, but Beeson's (I think) is a more enjoyable selection, giving a lot of space to interesting narrative stories. But anyone interested in the subject will certainly want to own both books.
