Customer Reviews

Right subject, wrong book!1
While reading this book I understood one thing: I prefer health books written by experts than by journalists. This lady only wrote down things others told her. I won't say that there isn't useful information in it because there is but for me it became a bit irritating that she was constantly mentioning other people or even Internet sites. And I found very little of what interested me most which was practical information about what I can do with olive oil to enhance my health. I also find the fact that she included recipes at the end a bit useless because I am sure that all readers have access to enough recipes. Well, maybe it was me who chose the wrong book but I have to confess that I had read a lot of comments on Amazon.com before I bought it. I find that she repeats herself a lot and although I know that this is a modern writing style I don't like it and it bores me. She also tells you to avoid safflower oil while before she tells you that this oil is very healthy for your heart. I have to say that I resent the fact that there is no consensus about what is good for you and what not because one gets completely mixed up. I also learned a lot about all kinds of oils but the thing is that I had already bought another book for that purpose... this one I bought because I wanted to know more about olive oil! I will keep looking because I am still interested in knowing more about it!
