Best AntiVirus I've ever used
I have been using Kaspersky for about 9 months now & I have to say it is second to none compared to any other AV I have ever used.
It is notable by its silence because it updates itself, checks webpages & emails itself without the user having to do anything (pretty much).

I have written some VBscript on my PC & as soon as it executes, KAV squeals & stops it straight away (another great thing).
I the event that I've had to install programs, it warns that the Registry is being written to & you have to let Kaspersky know this is OK (which is excellent).
After running Norton for a few years, I decided to change because I had heard good reviews (and its cheaper!).
On the first scan, it detected numerous viruses/spyware that Norton and other freeware apps missed.
It also gives you the option of making a bootable CD to 'clean' already infected PCs.
I am extremely glad I made the switch!
Leaves all its competitors playing catch up.

forget Norton and McAfee
hi all, i'm a techie and this is the best antivirus i've ever come across. it's very light and does much more beyond the basic virus protection (like regitsry access control, DLL injection etc.).
i also advise people to read the comments for Norton and McAfee carefully. to me, they seem to have been crafted too beautifully!!!

Yep, its good (I think)
I purchased Kaspersky AV because I was getting very irritated with Norton AV which basically caused my PC to run as slow as molasses in January! Really, I would not recommend Norton.
I loaded Kaspersky and all was fine and quick except for browsing the web. I called the FREE 24 hour helpline and they were really helpful. It turned out that I just needed to insert AOL as a trusted application. Everything is fine now and my PC fairly zips along.
Of course, time will tell just how effective Kaspersky is at catching viruses which is why I have only given it 4 stars but having read many reviews on the web it seems that Kaspersky is supposed to beat Norton hands down.
