Easy... it's not
I was very disappointed when I received this book, I think the word "Early" should be removed from its title. This is definitely aimed at the intermediate player,and the book should really be marketed as such. My music teacher agrees, and thinks its aimed more at grade 4/5 with the odd grade 3 piece slipping in. I'm obviously going to keep it... 'cos with lots of practice...I'm determined to be able to play the pieces at some point soon!!!!!!

A step onward from the My First Book.. series
A straightforward volume of pieces for intermediate students. Like the "My First Book of..." series the italian musical terms are listed and defined in a preface.

The number of pieces is stated as 97 on the cover, but is actually 104 (though some minuets, sonatinas and preludes have been gathered together).

A few pieces seem a little cramped in order to fit them on a single page, but this is a minor quibble with what is an excellent musical resource.

Not good enough
I cannot comment on the difficulty of the pieces in the book as I'm relatively new to piano.
However, there are no markings whatsoever on the pieces: Fingering and pedal marks are missing so its ridiculous that this was published for beginners.
