Does exactly what it says on the cover
I bought this book as a recent convert to shotgun shooting and before investing in any expensive coaching sessions. It is extremely well written by someone with a wealth of experience and takes the shooter through virtually every aspect of becoming a better shot. There is always going to be a small amount of instinctiveness in the personal technique of any shooter especially with regard to 'lead', a coaching definition of which it is almost impossible to describe and teach, and Ken Davies is quite frank about this, but he covers all the aspects that can be taught and improved upon extremely well in clear, concise chapters all of which are well illustrated.
This is really good book that deals with clays and game, over-and-under and side-by-side guns, not to mention some very attractive photography of Holland & Holland's beautiful gunsmithing. After reading the book and following its advice I can honestly say my shooting improved noticeably, such that when shooting with two friends who were far better shots previously I outscored one and drew with the other - it really works!
