Irrefutable Evidence.......
Irrefutable evidence that the Bible truly is the inspired Word of God. The author propels from one amazing fact to the next, matching scientific knowledge to what is written in Scripture. You will learn that the earth's free float in space was clearly written in the book of Job around 1500BC. This was unthinkable 3500 years ago and it was not proved by science until 1650. The book of Hebrews, written some 2000 years ago explains what science has only recently proved; that is everything is composed of invisible atoms. Specific instructions God gave thousands of years ago to His people for when they encountered disease included the laws of quarantine and the washing of hands under "running water". Until recent years, doctors washed their hands in a bowl of water, leaving invisible germs on their hands. These are just several of the amazing facts that are included in this book (Bible verses are also quoted). Other topics include the science of oceanography, radio waves, entropy, the water cycle, the first law of thermodynamics, ship dimensions, and meteorological laws.

I found this small book to be thought provoking.

Ray Comfort takes proven scientific facts and shows how the Bible and science are in agreement.

A fascinating book that you can dip into at any time.

Amazing Interpretations
Even Ray Comfort puts "Scientific Facts" in quote marks. This is the ususal 'amazing modern wisdom to be found in the Bible' approach. Passages are found in the Bible which can be misinterpreted and made to fit modern knowledge very, very loosely.

One of Ray's examples.

Jeremiah 33:22 "As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured."

The King James Version continues :so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

The passage is clearly meant to mean that there will be many descendants, without giving an actual number.

Ray's interpretation is that the Bible says that there are billions of stars. There was no way for the writer of this passage to have known how many stars there are and the writer is more likely to have meant many thousands. Even billions is still wrong by and order of magnitude, but that is Ray's lack of knowledge.

Ray is deliberately ignorant when it comes to science, and is not ashamed to admit it. So, a book about "scientific facts" from Ray Comfort does not carry any weight.
