From the Author
Adopt a healthier and greener lifestyle which suits you
Many people are concerned about the impact of the way they live on the environment, but are bewildered by conflicting messages in the media. When even the 'experts' cannot agree on what is harmful and what is beneficial, the rest of us end up feeling powerless to effect any real change. The purpose of our book is to present the issues in a clear and practical way, so you can make your own decisions. Nobody 'goes green' overnight. Our book will help you to gradually adapt your lifestyle in a way which suits you and which you will be able to sustain. We have tried to avoid devoting pages and pages to technical issues. Instead there are chapters about the essential activities of everyday life, with information and advice about how changes in lifestyle can benefit you, your family and the environment.
Customer Reviews
Excellent Introduction to Green Living
I found this book clear and concise. It does not go into too much scientific detail so as to baffle anyone who is relativley new to the subject, and put them off for good.
The style tends to introduce new ideas to the reader who feels that there must be a better way to live their life, and then points them in the right direction so that they are able to do something about it.
It has useful action points at the end of each chapter which you can try and incorporate into your life, and some useful addresses at the end if you want to find out more.
It is a good introduction to the subject of green living which would be ideal for anyone who knows a little about the concepts of green living but wants to know and do more. I have read it from cover to cover, but find myself dipping back in on a regular basis.
An excellent read without all the scientific mumbo-jumbo.
