A Find
I happened on this book a few years ago and have almost worn it out with use. Mr Kreutz gives a very intellegent account of the problems of painting dramatic figurative pictures. The chapters are short with each of the technical points clearly explianed and illustrated. I would add that some of the pictures are delightfull.

First class Artists book
This is a book that the more advanced artist can learn a point from. To really learn from this book one really needs to closely examine the great examples of paintings in this book all by the author Gregg.

Gregg has introduced me to Chiroscuro still life, something that I never found quite so interesting or exciting until Gregg Kreutz showed us through from his viewpoint...That's what art is all about, in my opinion.

Better than an oil painting class
An intelligent, well-illustrated, course for intermediate/advanced oil painters who seek realism in their paintings. I would suspect that even a talented and successful painterly painter would benefit from a review.
