Worth every penny
This book is split up in to 7 main areas of illustrative design - Basic Naive design, Fashion, Pattern, Typography, Deconstructive, Vector and Pencillers & Ink. It is a very diverse range and guarantees an inspiration overload when you get that creative block. I also find the illustrator directory at the back of the book very useful for finding web pages of the illustrators you like to examine their work further. Great Book that I recommend to everyone. It's not just for illustrators. Great for Graphic Designers especially as well as advertisers, web designers and packaging designers. Hefty price but all very worth it. Its like the illustration 'bible'
Great, but not as good as the first one.
After having bought Illusive 1, I thought i must get the 2nd one. Although the book is presented in the same way- packed with inspirational contemporary images, I think that it isn't as good as the first book. The first one was more cutting edge, more creative and different. I think the art in this book is a bit samey and safe, but it is still good. I guess the first book is just a bit too hard to live up to! !
