Customer Reviews

Another fantastic novel from Maureen Lee5
I had read and enjoyed several of Maureen Lee's other marvellous books before reading this one so I had very high expectations. And I wasn't disappointed! Lime Street Blues is filled with vibrant, compelling characters who really seem to jump off the page and become real when you read about them. This novel also does a great job of recreating the exciting atmosphere of Liverpool in the swinging 'sixties. As for the story itself, it grabs you and doesn't let go until the last word of the last page!

Overall, another winner from Maureen Lee!

Thumbs down for this one. 1
I loved `dancing in the dark` by maureen lee, it`s very high up on my list of best reads, and each person i have lent it to has agreed it is absolutely unputdownable. However, it appears to be a one off, as none of her other books match up. I was thoroughly disappointed with `lime street blues`. You could never `lose yourself` in this, as you could in `dancing in the dark.`

having read all the maureen lee books,i was totally dissapointed by this book.It has little emotion,no depth of characters.usually you are engrossed in the characters, but i felt detached from them.i hope the next one is better.
