well presented,enlightening,but lacking something.
Having only recently been `turned on' to the art of Hieronymus Bosch,I purchased this book hoping to learn more about this enigmatic artist and what drove him to produce such disturbing and riveting works.The book certainly succeeds in breaking down each work and describing the supposed meaning behind it,which is great,especially when combined with some absorbing detailed colour plates.But those seeking a more personal look at the mans life would be best advised to let the past be,and to enjoy what this book offers,a great guide to the works of a mysterious man.
