Good product
I had a previous TT which was bulkier and cost over £500 so when it was stolen got this one as a replacement, amazed to pay a lot less this time, for what is an improved product.

Still user-friendly, you can use this straight out of the box. My wife borrowed it and I did not have to give her any instructions. The mount is not as sturdy as the early version and in cold weather can be a problem to stick to screen.

I drive 30k miles a year and using this have hardly ever had a problem getting to clients, the biggest one is when the house has a name and not a number, in this case the post code will get you within yards of your destination. Neither have I been routed the wrong way down a one-way street although it has directed me up some scary B roads in the country, much to the amusement of farmers who must be getting used to Reps being redirected past their fields on a short cut, use your common sense and stick to the A roads and you will be fine.

I have learned my lesson about leaving this on display in the car, and now it is removed when I leave, it can fit in your shirt pocket for when you have to visit the Services, and fits easily in your briefcase as it is a lot less bulky than the previous version. Have not used the traffic alerts or anything fancy.

Recommended if you want a simple no-frills machine.

what a complete waste of money
We've been fans of tomtom for years and so my husband bought me a tomtom one for those times when I wasn't able to use his more advanced model as he needed it for business. I've had problems since day one with it not charging properly whilst out on the road. Now the blooming thing has packed up altogether. If the battery gets low enough (which is inevitable if it's not charging properly)it won't start up. I've tried absolutely every piece of advice I've found on the internet, but like one other reviewer below, have been told by our local sat nav retailer that the tomtom one is a heap of junk. They are fatally flawed and he gets hundreds of queries and complaints about them. His advice is to stick to Garmin. I'm furious and out of pocket. I wouldn't recommend this tomtom at all.

For multi-drop work, its excellent
I`ll start this by saying this review IS NOT for the v3 tomtom one, but for this v2!

I am a multi-drop driver and this is invaluable. It has bluetooth (for traffic updates) and a memory card slot for other maps. Now, don`t make the same mistake I did by buying a v3. Alot of features are missing on the v3 that are invaluable for multi-point work (ininerary).

But my v2 shipped with version 6 of the software and map version 6.75.1409. You can upgrade it to the new Navcore 7 with the map correction facility PIECE OF CAKE with TomTom home, and it works very well.

The new Help Me! features are a nice touch, but if you want a giggle, navigate to your nearest doctors...The nearest is in Dublin, and I am in Derbyshire! Really poor...BUT should improve as more people do their own map updates(which are free for a year).

The included promotional code didn`t work for the speed cameras. I entered my code on the TomTom website and I was told my promotions have been activated. But it`s never worked or downloaded any cameras, it is a problem TomTom`s side. I know what I`m doing too TomTom! So get your cameras from somewhere else, free. Anyone know what a torrent is? ;)

Overall then, get THIS one. THE definitive value for money satnav that works WELL...Not the v3 if you are a professional driver.
And there won`t be many about soon, so get moving, as everyone is starting selling the useless v3.

v2- Buy it, update it, don`t mess about with the useless promotion code.
