Customer Reviews
Good ideas, dumbed-down style
This book expands on the material presented in the Schwarzbein Principle. Here the main topic is aging, while the first one concentrated on weight loss. In addition to insulin imbalances, adrenaline levels and effects are also addressed. Dr Schwarzbein stresses how a balanced lifestyle, including nutrition, exercise, stress management and HRT if necessary, is needed to overcome what she terms lifestyle metabolic disorders.
I'd recommend this book as I find the message sensible, simple to apply and effective. If you haven't read the first book, you don't have to do it in order to grasp the concept. Indeed, everything is explained in such simplified form, interspersed with case studies and patient testimonies, that even a pre-GCSE schoolchild would be able to understand it. I personally prefer more concise writing, but this is a case of substance over style.
