Customer Reviews
"Bollocks", as the hamster said!
Totally agree with the last 2 negative reviews. I bought this as a stocking filler for my very broadminded 25 year old daughter. I too am broadminded and we can share some very dirty jokes together but their is no humour in this book at all. I've thrown it in the bin. I'm not criticising those who gave it positive reviews but next time I'll check something like this in the bookshop first. Amazon, can we please have a no star rating?
Avoid!
If I could have rated this negative, I would have!
Looking for stocking fillers for my adult son, I bought this unseen, based on reviews, I foolishly ignored the negative ones, thinking they were in the minority..........I shouldn't have. I am not a prude, so wasn't offended, it's just that it isn't funny. No clever pictures, with witty captions, just stock photos with a stream of abuse. If you're interested in this book, do yourself a favour and check it out in a book shop first!
A disappointment
Was atracted to this book as a birthday present for my son (21) by the front cover hamster saying bollocks, which had some kind of charm, but the rest of the book is just pictures of animals with speech bubbles with a desperate attempt to insert the rudest, crudest and almost senselessly meaningless swearwords, just not clever. I believe Adrian Edmonson helped compose this book and it seems like his style, he has been funny with Rik Mayall (The Young Ones, and other TV series), but this book is a flop. Rik's 'autobiography' book has had bad reviews also ("awful, awful, awful" said someone) and I agree with that too, another flop - silliness does have its limit. Pets with Tourettes could have been funny, a good idea, but here the humour has been mercilessly ground into the dust. Save your cash.
