Customer Reviews

Lovely book5
I have a son who is autistic and I'm also a special needs teacher and I LOVE this book. It is always great to find somebody else out there who sees autistic young people as people with amazing strengths! My thanks for this wonderful book.

One obsessive reservation5
This is a beautiful book; my son (3, awaiting dx, certainly on the spectrum) adores it and it makes me feel really positive. One tiny criticism: on the letter J (for jumping, jogging and jujitsu), the lower-case 'j' is in fact an 'i'; it doesn't simply look like one, when comparing it with others in the book. Now anyone with an obsessive child knows this is NOT a good thing! We altered ours with a black felt tip, and now everyone is happy. But that is a tiny (if funny) point, and the book really is the best.

A clear, simple celebration of all youngsters with an ASD - GREAT!5
This is a colourful A-Z of typical positive character traits of a young person with Asperger Syndrome or High-Functioning Autisim. It is written using clever alliteration and large simple illustrations. Reading it made me smile, cry and recall what an utterly unique child my daughter is. She read it and commented several times "That's like me!" For C - it reads "I am a Colossal Collector", foe E "I have Enormous Enthusiasm". A great book for any family fortunate enough to have a young person with an ASD.
