To get this list rolling a book about suicide. I like the fact that all the characters get to be three dimensional. With their own reasons for wanting the ultimate way out.

My first Marian Keyes novel. I love this book and regularly re-read it. You start this book with one idea which colours your view on all the other characters then you're left with quite another.

It's about a group of terminally ill teens, who make a pact that the first to die will send them proof of an afterlife. Made me cry at 15 and still does.

Well it's a classic for a reason!

This was the first book to make me sob, I actually cried my eyes out while reading this. I've yet to re-read it but it's on my list of pre-teen books to re-read.

This is actually an omnibus, Beyond Innocence and Beyond Seduction, historical erotic fiction both very good regency romances.

I actually re-read this last year and it's still great. Tom is sent to stay with his aunt whilst his brother gets over the chicken pox. His adventure begins when his aunt's clock strikes 13 one night.

Another great book from Lois Duncan - the film is no where near as good.

I loved the film, so when I saw a pristine copy in ‘Scope’ I had to buy it. You get a bit more depth to Marla and the timeframe is expanded. So it’s different from the film, but only slightly

It’s about 3 people; two brothers and a comedienne, who become embroiled in a mad scientist's experiment. Before this Lightening was my fave Koontz book, give him a go as Koontz writes in all genres.

This is just fantastic to dip into or read on a specific topic. It has a clear layout with good pictorial depictions of the diversity of the human population.

Read this when I was around 14. About Nina who finds out her mum, is actually her kidnapper. There are reasons given by her 'mum' but Nina has to come to terms with the loss of trust.
