Synopsis
Golden Rules are the basis for positive behaviour policies in many schools across the country - encouraging the positive reward for good behaviour rather than punishments for negative actions. Now with this book, full of dynamic, enthralling and fun assemblies, which all support the circle time model, you can explore and develop the moral rules behind the Quality Circle Time Golden Rules. Written by experienced assembly leaders, every one of the assemblies has been tried, tested and thoroughly enjoyed! For each assembly there is a detailed list of what you will need, a lively text for you to follow or use as your prompt, and the choice of prayer or reflection to use at your discretion. Bibliography; Resources; Training Support; Prayers; Thoughts; Bible Verses; Latest book in a range of successful 'circle-time' pupil management titles from LDA: Quality Circle Time; More Quality Circle Time; Poems For Circle Time; Turn Your School Around; Effective IEPS for Circle Time & Literacy Hour; Assembly material has always been much in demand amongst schoolteachers, whether the conventional kind or this new model material; Learning Development Aids: helping every child achieve their best.

Customer Reviews

Would be good for KS1 or whole school assemblies in smaller schools.4
I bought this book to use for KS2 assemblies (8 classes) in a large inner city primary school, but after reading through it, I decided not to use it. The ideas are good but they simply wouldn't work for our KS2 assemblies. I will however be passing it on to my KS1 colleagues to try out and it would have been great for my previous school which only had 4 mixed age classes.

Golden Rules5
This book is great to promote positive behaviour through assemblies. I am currently using it for all my assemblies this term and there will be plenty left for future revisiting. Make sure you read the chapter in advance as props or 'plants' are advised but not necessary. Like all teachers I adapt the suggestions for my audience. The children really seem to listen and take in the rule(s).

My favourite assembly so far was 'I'm glad I'm not a domino' when two of my teachers and I had an argument and fight in front of the school. The children loved it!

Buy it….it will be worth its weight in gold!
