What is the book about? A collection of assemblies for every week of the school year, grouped into themes to reflect the new Department for Education guidance to schools for delivering Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL). Why are you publishing it? Why is it good, groundbreaking, and essential? Each assembly is broken down into stages with the emphasis on giving impact to whole-school teacher assemblies. All the plans can be used in multi-faith schools and cover a wide range of topics relevant to citizenship issues and living and working together as a community. Who is the author? What are the author's credentials? Jenny Mosley is the renowned pioneer of circle time and strategies for developing positive behaviour and happier schools. Jenny Mosley was a key advisor in the preparation of the Government's guidance to teachers for delivering Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning and is credited as such in the materials sent to schools nationwide.

Useful book
This has been really useful in planning my assemblies this term and the children have really enjoyed them, as have i. However not all of the assemblies in the book are pick up and go, many include activities that need props and a bit of preperation....don't let that put you off however as i have found that when short of perperation time they can be easily adapted to make life easier. Would recomend to any teacher in search of some help in making assemblies interesting and fun!
