EEEasy Top
I just purchased an Eee Top for my elderly parents. Reviews on the net are generally favourable but I was not sure what to expect, however I am really pleased with this machine. The Top has an "easy mode" which allows the user to access applications at a touch of the screen. The interface is really well conceived and easy to use, I am hopeful that even my 90 year old father will find this simple. The Top also comes preloaded with Star Office so there is no need to add MS office unless you need it. Also has some children's games and solitaire preloaded, an easy to use webcam, and many more lovely touches. Easy mode takes you simply into each application and there is a File Manager "button" so you can find things. I am a dedicated Apple user myself but this interface won me over. Not a computer for people who like PCs to be hard work, (techie geeks probably hate it!) but highly recommended particularly for anyone who is not very confident with computers. You can run it in normal Windows XP mode too if you prefer.
The packaging is great and it is really simple to set up.
