Review
When I first came across the title of the book it wasn't an entirely new concept to me. A few years ago I had been amazed to see some beautiful and delicate creations made by a lacemaker using very fine wire, so I was curious to see a book using a seemingly simpler technique to create jewellery. This book caters for those seeking only to used simpler crochet techniques like single or half double crochet to those who get hooked and progress to using a ripple, filet, Tunisian stitch or adding beads whilst working. She explains clearly about wire gauges and what crochet hooks to use and tools you need. Once thats done you dive right into how to do the stitches, adding beads to your work and the many projects that will take you up to experienced levels and making a box! I can definately see some getting into this style of making jewellery and look forward to seeing some beautiful creations in the years to come at a variety of events. --Pentacle, Samhain, Winter 2007, Issue 23

Good beginner's guide to crocheting with wire.4
This is great book to start crocheting with wire if you can already crochet with yarn.
It has a good many designs which are well varied in taste and skill, no impossible projects and all very pretty.

Lovely little book - would make a great gift!5
I love this little book - it's small enough to pop in your bag and contains some lovely simple designs.

Would make a lovely gift for the girl in your life who enjoys crochet but doesn't like making 'granny things'!

I agree that the crochet work isn't the most challenging you'll come across, but I think that's a good thing as you'll be working with new materials and until you're used to croceting with wire its probably best to begin with simple crochet.

More importantly, the jewellery designs are all very wearable. Some modern, some more classical, but on the whole they all resemble pieces that I would buy myself from shops likes Azendi etc.

One thing to note is that the book is American - so don't forget to swap your doubles for trebles and your singles for doubles!

very disapointing1
If you already know how to crochet, you do not need this book.
It is very basic and the designs are too simple for an expert crocheter.
If you are looking for a book with many different or cutting edge designs, this book is not for you.
It only focuses on simple easy projects.
